The students are promoted to the next class on the basis of their performance throughout the year in the C.C.E. (Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation) which is a process to provide holistic profile of the learner through regular assessment of both scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas.
Asessment is done via two term end exams held in September and March and takes into account all the Unit Tests conducted weekly, generally on Mondays and Fridays of the scheduled Month during the relevant term.
The activities include literary, aesthetic skills & performing skills and clubs. Health and physical education will also form an integral part of this assessment. Co-Scholastic areas will be assessed on: (a) life skills; (b) attitude; and (c) values.
The Session will be spread over 2 terms, first from April to September and then from October to March. Assessment of the entire Session will be divided under two categories:
Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment. Formative Assessment is done on the basis of weekly tests, assignmenst, homework and classwork, practicals, projects, oral quizzes, experiments and other activities in class.
Summative assessment is carried out at the end of each term in the form of a term end exam i. e. Half-Yearly Exam and Annual Exam.
